Stena Line increases sailing schedule on Rostock-Trelleborg

21.03.2016
Stena Line increases sailing schedule on Rostock-Trelleborg through a Swap agreement

From April 4th Stena Line will be able to offer its customers an extended sailing schedule with 5 departures per day during low season and even 6 during high season in each direction compared to the previous 3. This will be possible through a capacity Swap agreement with TT-Line.

The competition on this route is fierce with competition from other ferry operators as well as from substitutes such as the Öresund Bridge. The number of departures is here a key competitive factor, and by sharing vessel and capacity with TT-Line, Stena Line can strengthen its customer offer on the Rostock-Trelleborg route.

This means that the number of departures in each direction will increase from 3 to 5 (even 6 during peak season), and sailing frequency will increase from one departure every sixth hours to every third hour.

This will be very positive for our current and future customers. It gives both our freight customers and passengers a greater flexibility to choose the most suitable departure, and we also reduce waiting times at the port.

Customers will be offered the same level of comfort they are used to on all vessels, and crossing times will remain as today, 7 hours day time and 8 hours night time.

For further information please contact your local sales representative. Please find attached the scheduled timetable for week 14 – 17.
